Green Steps Cities
Royalton has been a participant with Green Steps Cities since its inception in 2010.
GreenStep Cities is a voluntary challenge, assistance, and recognition program through the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency designed to help cities reach their sustainability goals. The City of Royalton has focused on reducing energy usage by re-lamping city buildings, changing its traffic lights from incandescent bulbs to LED lights, and installing 7Kw solar PV pannels on the roof of City Hall.
