Do I need a permit for a recreational fire?
No, you do not need a permit for a recreational fire which means a fire that is set for cooking, warming or ceremonial purposes as long as the flames are no wider than 3 feet and no higher than 3 feet. The fire also needs to be located five feet away from from all combustible material.
The City of Royalton no longer allows fires outside of the recreational fire.

Memorial Park - The Gazebo can be reserved for $50.00 + tax (resident) $75.00 + tax (non-resident) by calling City Hall at 320-584-5900
Splash Park - The pavillion at the splash park can be reserved with a $50.00 + tax (resident) $75.00 + tax (non-resident)
A $50.00 refundable damage deposit is required at time of reservation. Contact City Hall for more information at 320-584-5900.
All other parks are open to the public and cannot be reserved.

Route 1: Coming from the South-Turn Right at the Stop light and turn Left onto Birch Street. Follow Birch Street North. Continue following Birch Street North through Stop sign and take a Right onto Plattewood Drive. Follow road around housing development until you see the Splash Park.
Route 2: Coming from the South- Turn Right onto Maple Street by the American Legion. At Stop sign take a Left onto Birch Street. Follow road north, take a Right onto Plattewood Drive and follow road around housing development until you see the Splash Park.
Route 3: Coming from the North- Take a Left onto Maple Street by the American Legion. At Stop sign take a Left onto Birch Street. Follow road north, take a Right onto Plattewood Drive and follow road around housing development until you see the Splash Park.
